Red Sauce Chutney

Ingredients
    * 2 cups tamarind pulp
    * 1 cup dries plum
    * 1 cup water
    * 1/2 cup tomato ketchup
    * 1/2 cup sugar
    * 2 tbsp thinly sliced cabbage
    * 2 tbsp thinly sliced carrot
    * 2 tbsp Jaggery
    * 1 tbsp red chili powder
    * a pinch of red food color
    * 10 button red chilies
    * 6 whole green chilies, fried in oil

Method
    * Put dried plum in a saucepan.
    * Add water, tamarind pulp, jaggery, sugar, tomato ketchup, salt , red chili powder, red color.
    * Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 30 minutes or until mixture syrupy.
    * Then add carrot,cabbage, red chilies and fried green chilies.
    * Cook for another 5 minutes or until syrup is thickened.
    * Remove from the heat.
    * Take it out in a serving bowl.
    * Red sauce Chutney is ready now.
    * Serve with meals and snacks.
