Chicken Salad Pitas

Ingredients
  1 cup plain whole-milk Yogurt
  2 tablespoons lemon juice 
  1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 
  1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper 
  1 cup chopped red bell pepper 
  3 cups chopped cooked chicken 
  1/2 cup chopped pitted green olives 
  1/2 cup diced red onion 
  1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro 
  1 (15-ounce) can no-salt-added chickpeas, rinsed and drained 
  6 (6-inch) whole wheat pitas, cut in half 
  12 Bibb lettuce leaves 
  6 (1/8-inch-thick) slices tomato, cut in half 

Method
1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a small bowl; set aside. 
2. Combine chicken and next 5 ingredients (through chickpeas) in a large bowl. 
3. Add yogurt mixture to chicken mixture; toss gently to coat. 
4. Line each pita half with 1 lettuce leaf and 1 tomato piece.
5. Add 1/2 cup chicken mixture to each pita half.

Cracker sandwich


Ingredients
12 biscuits (salty flavour of any brand)
½ cup chicken boiled and shredded
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tomato cut into 6 slices
1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
1 cucumber peeled, cut into 6 slices

Method
1. Mix mayonnaise with chicken and corrinder leaves. 
2. Spread this mixture on the biscuits evenly. 
3. Place tomato slice and cucumber slice on six of the biscuits. 
4. cover each with a second biscuit to make a sandwich.

Special Burger


Ingredients
  250 gm mince meat
  ½ tsp all spice powder
  1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  ½ tsp cumin powder
  1/2 tsp red chilli powder or to taste
  ½ tsp salt or to taste
  ½ tsp coriander powder
  ½ tsp gram flour
  1 to 2 eggs beaten
  Bread crumbs as required
  Oil for frying
  6 burger buns
  Mayonnaise and Tomato ketchup as required
  2 tomatoes sliced
  1 cucumber peeled and sliced

Method
1. Take mince meat in a bowl, add red chilli powder, all spice, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, salt, coriander powder and gram flour.
2. Mix well and leave it to marinate for one hour. Sprinkle bread crumbs on a flat surface, make small balls of mince and press it on bread crumbs and shape into cutlets. 
3. Heat oil in a pan. Dip the cutlets in beaten eggs and deep fry till golden brown in colour on both sides. Take out on an absorbent paper. 
4. Take burger bun apply ketchup on it, then put a cutlet, cucumber and tomato slice on top and mayonnaise on other piece of the bun and cover it. 
5. Yummy and delicious special burger is ready to serve. 
5. Garnish the dish with lettuce leaves and serve with ketchup.

Chatpati sandwiches

Ingredients
  1 kg boiled and mashed potatoes
  1 bunch coriander leaves
  1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  1 tsp garlic paste
  Tomato sauce for garnish
  4 tbsp of lemon juice
  1 tsp salt
  Bread slices (as required)

Method
1. Mix all the ingredients except tomato sauce and bread slices, together and make small kebabs. 
2. Place a kebab on a slice, apply ketchup then place another slice on it and then place it in a sandwich maker. 
3. Chat pati sandwiches are ready to eat.

Open face sandwich


Ingredients
  2 slice of bread
  1 cucumber finely chopped
  2 green chilli
  1 small onion
  1 tomato
  1 lemon juice
  few coriander leaves finely chopped

Method
1. Cut out the bread sides. Butter one slice of bread, and put the slice of cheese on top and bake for 2 minutes.
2. Take it out of the oven, sprinkle finely chopped tomatoes, green chillies and coriander. 
3. Again put it in the oven for a few minutes. 
4. Take it out and serve immediately with ketchup.

Fried sandwiches


Ingredients
  Some bread slices,
  1 egg 
  Oil for frying
  Chicken (boiled and shredded) or potatoes (boiled and mashed) for filling
  Mayonnaise or butter

Method
1. Add mayonnaise or butter to the chicken or potato (whatever you are using for filling). 
2. Apply some ketchup on the bread slices. Spread the filling on them. 
3. Beat the egg and dip the sandwiches in it. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry these sandwiches. 
4. To save time, prepare the fillings before hand. You may also try different shapes like triangular, rectangular and even round shaped sandwiches.

Cucumber Sandwich


Ingredients
2 Cucumbers
½ cup Cream cheese
3 Green onion tops, chopped
1/2 Cup mayonnaise
2 Slices of bread
garlic salt
pepper


Method
- Wash and grate the cucumber. Squeeze away excess water.
- Mix cheese, mayonnaise, onion, salt and pepper.
- Add cucumber and mix well.
- Spread on a bread slice.
- Cover with another slice.
- Cucumber Sandwich is ready to serve.
- Serve with tomato ketchup!

Vegetarian Sandwich


Ingredients
1 loaf Sliced bread
110 gm Butter
3 tbsp  Mint chutney
2 Onions
2 Tomatoes
6 Green chillies
1 Cucumber
2 Carrots
2 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
Pepper powder to taste.
Salt to taste.


Method
- Remove outer skin and cut the vegetables into thin slices.
- Mince green chilies and coriander leaves.
- Trim brown edge crusts of the bread slices with knife.
- Apply butter on one side of bread slices.
- Take one buttered bread slices. Spread little chutney on top of butter.
- Arrange sliced cucumber and carrots on that. Put one more buttered slice as second layer on top of vegetables. (Butter applied side should face up).
- Now arrange onions and tomatoes slices with minced chilies and coriander leaves.
- Sprinkle salt, pepper with a squeeze of lime on the vegetables.
- Top with third slice of bread (buttered side facing down)
- Press well and cut into four square pieces with sharp knife.
- Dot with tomato ketchup and serve immediately.

Curried Chicken Salad Sandwich


Ingredients
2 cups cubed chicken breast, cooked 
3/4 cup chopped apple
3/4 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chopped celery
3/4 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped green onion
1 teaspoon curry powder
6 lettuce leaves
6 bread slices, toasted


Method
- Spread butter over 1 side of each slice toast.
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken, apple, cranberries,mayonnaise, walnuts, celery, lemon juice, onion and curry powder.
- Place lettuce on bread slices.
- Top with chicken salad mixture.
- Top with a slice of bread.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich


Ingredients
6 Boneless chicken breasts
1 tbsp Olive oil
2 tbsp Lemon juice
2 Garlic flakes (crushed)
1 Ginger (grated)
2 Red ball peppers
1/2 Cup mayonnaise
6 Bread slices
salt and pepper to taste


Method
- Cut chicken into pieces.
- Mix olive oil, lemon juice, crushed garlic and grated ginger well.
- Marinate chicken with this mixture for 1 hour. Grill the marinated chicken pieces till they get cooked properly.
- Spread mayonnaise on bread slices.
- Top with a grilled chicken piece and red ball pepper.
- Top with a slice of bread.
- Grilled Chicken Sandwich is ready.

Club Sandwich


Ingredients
Chicken 1/2 kg  boiled
Cheese slices
Garlic 3-4 cloves
Eggs as required
Mayonnaise 1/2 bowl
Mustard paste 2 tbsp
Butter
Cucumber
Tomatoes
Lettuce leaves
Toast slices as required
Salt
Black pepper


Method
- Boil the chicken with garlic cloves, salt and black pepper.
- Sprinkle salt and black pepper on the boiled egg slices. Butter the toasts.
- Mix the mayonnaise and mustard paste. Apply the mayonnaise mix on the slices.
- Place sliced eggs on mayonnaise and mustard coated slices. Now place buttered toast and put lettuce leaves on it.
- Place a cheese slice on it. Also place tomatoe and cucumber slices. Now add chicken on it.
- Cover with mayonnaise and musterd paste coated slice.
- Slice in half and insert toothpick in it.
- Serve with Chips or Potato Wedges.

Spicy Bun Kabab


Ingredients
Sandwich Buns
2 Potatoes (boiled & mashed)
½ cup of Chana Lentils 
½ tsp. of Red Chilli Powder 
Salt to taste
½ tsp. of Black Cumin Seeds (Kaala Zeera)
½ tsp. of White Cumin Seeds (Safaid Zeera)
1 Tomato (sliced)
Lettuce
Cucumbers (peeled & sliced) (optional)
2 Egg Whites (stiffly beaten)
Podina Chutney or Imli Chutney 


Method
- Boil & mash the potatoes and set aside. Boil the chana dal in water with ½ tsp. of salt. Boil until well soft. Strain the water from the dal. Then mash & mix the boiled dal with the mashed potatoes. Then make round kababs out of this mixture. Then dip the kababs in the beaten egg whites. Then shallow fry in oil.
- Cut the buns in half and lightly heat in a little oil in a frying pan. Put chutney, salad leaves, kabab, cucumber and tomato slice. Top with bun and serve hot.

Chilled pinwheel sandwiches


Ingredients
Soft uncut bread, one loaf
1 tbsp green chutney Butter
2 tbsp cheese grated
1 cup finely chopped mixture of onions, tomatoes and cucumber


Method
Cut the bread into long rectangles by cutting horizontally. Hold each slice over boiling water for a few seconds to soften. Press lightly with a rolling pin on the work surface. Apply butter, then chutney on each slice. Sprinkle vegetable mixture and cheese over them.


Carefully roll from one end towards the other as tightly as possible, without breaking the bread. Secure with toothpicks if required to hold. Chill rolls for an hour in the fridge, wrapped in a moist cloth. Remove toothpicks, cut into 1/2 circles and serve with tomato sauce.

Filled Pitta Bread Sandwich


Always use low fat cheese as to cut down the calories, serve it accompanied by a green salad


Ingredients
4 pita breads
2 medium tomatoes - chopped
1 capsicum chopped into cubes
1 onion - finely chopped
2 to 3 green chillies, cut into small pieces 
4 tbsp low fat grated cheese
salt and black pepper powder to taste
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp dried mixed herbs


Method
   1. Preheat the grill
   2. Mix the chopped tomatoes capsicums and onion in a bowl.
   3. Add the tomato ketchup mixed herbs and season with salt and pepper
   4. Wet the pitta bread with a wet hand warm it in the grill on both sides
   5. Take them out and cut the top end off the pitta bread
   6. Fill the pitta bread with the mixture and also the green chillies if using them
   7. Top the mixture in each pitta bread with 1 tablespoon of cheese and put them all under the grill till the cheese melts.
   8. Serve hot with chilli sauce

Egg Sandwich


Ingredients
- 2 hard boiled eggs, sliced
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 4 tbsp. mayonnaise
- salt and freshly milled pepper
- 8 large slices of white bread


Method
1. Mash the eggs with a fork or place in a food processor and pulse once or twice. Transfer to a medium bowl, add butter and mayonnaise. Stir well with a fork to blend the ingredients. Season well with salt and pepper. 
2. Spread 4 slices of bread with a thin layer of mayonnaise. Spread the remaining 4 slices with good amount of egg filling, top with the mayonnaise slices and press gently. Remove crust and cut each sandwich 2 into triangles.
3. Serve with French Fries.    

Eggs salad Sandwich


Egg salad sandwiches are some of the easiest sandwiches in the world to make, especially if you have some hard boiled eggs sitting around in the fridge.Best for those who always in hurry for breakfast.


Ingredient
1 hard-boiled egg - peeled and chopped
1-2 Tbsp mayonnaise (to taste)
1 Tbsp chopped green onion
2 Tbsp chopped celery
Curry powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 leaf of lettuce
2 slices dark rye bread, toasted


Method
- Mash up the chopped egg a bit with a fork. Mix together the chopped hard-boiled egg, mayonnaise, onion and celery. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and curry powder. Mix.
- If you haven’t already, toast your bread slices. Put a layer of lettuce on one slice of toasted bread, spread the egg mixture on top of the lettuce, put another slice of toasted bread on top.
- Enjoy

Zinger Burger


Ingredients
4 Chicken Breasts - boneless with skin
Lettuce
1/2 tsp. of White Pepper
1/2 tsp. of Salt
1/2 tsp. of Aginomoto Salt
1/2 tsp. of Mustard Paste
Mayonnaise
Cooking Oil for deep frying


Ingredients for better
3 tbsp. of Refined Flour (Maida)
1 tbsp. of Corn Flour 
1/2 tsp. of Baking Powder
1 Egg
1 tbsp. of Milk


Method
- Mix all of the batter ingredients together and make a batter and set aside.
- Marinate the chicken breasts with aginomoto salt, white pepper and mustard paste. Let it marinate for 1/2 hour.
- Dip the chicken breasts in the prepared batter and deep fry in oil until well done.
- Take bun apart and spread mayonnaise on the buns. Put a leaf of lettuce and fried chicken breast in bun and close bun and serve.

Chicken Bread Roll

Ingredients
250 gm chicken boneless boiled and shredded
1 cup noodles boiled
1 cup peas boiled
2 eggs boiled and chopped
1/2 tsp salt or to taste
1/2 tsp black pepper or to taste
1 tbsp oil
2 potatoes boiled and mashed.
Bread slices as required
Eggs, beaten, as required.
Oil for frying.

Method
Lightly heat the oil and add chicken, noodles, peas, eggs, salt, pepper and soya sauce and mix well. Keep it aside. Cut the edges of bread slices and put one spoon of mixture on the slice and roll it. Roll in beaten egg and cover with boiled and mashed potatoes. Dip in beaten eggs and deep fry in lightly heated oil-till golden brown. Serve with ketchup, chilli sauce, and chutney.

Barbeque sandwich (2)

Ingredients
4-6 slices of bread
2 cup chicken (cut into cubes)
4 tsp tikka masala
3 tsp oil
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
Juice of lemon

Method
Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients, except bread, for an hour. Arrange the chicken on skewers on low charcoal fire and keep brushing the chicken with oil. When done on all sides, remove from the skewers. Trim slices from the sides. Place the chicken on it and cover with another slice of the bread. Serve it with French fries and coleslaw.

American Club Sandwich


Ingredients
Sandwich bread 1 packet
Butter 1 packet
Eggs 7
Chicken 1 cup (shredded)
Black pepper powder to taste
Salt to taste
Vegetables Cabbage, cucumber, tomato (all chopped) 1 cup
Mayonnaise ½ cup
Salad leaves a few
Tomato (slices) as required
Cucumber (slices) as required
Tooth picks as required


Method
* Four slices will be used in one sandwich.
* Chicken Filling: in a bowl mix chicken, salt, pepper and butter.
* Omelet Filling: beat 4 eggs and make thin, plain omelets.
* Veggies and Egg Filling: beat 3 eggs and mash, then mix in it veggies and mayonnaise.
* Sandwich Assembling: Take on slice, spread butter on it, place chicken filling, place the 2nd slices, place, omelet piece and salad leave on it then 3rd slice and place veges filling on it and cover it with the 4th on slice. In all sandwiches you can place tomato ad cucumber slices as you desire. Use tooth picks to place them on dish easily. Serve with hot sauce, ketchup and French fries etc.
