Ingredients
6 oz tomato paste/puree
1 garlic clove, chopped
3 cups water
1 tsp oregano
3 tbsp oil
1 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp basil
1 small onion, chopped
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp Parmesan cheese, grated
Method
Heat the oil in a saucepan and add chopped garlic, water, oregano, pepper, basil, onion, brown sugar, tomato paste and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook for 20-30 minutes till the mixture has a nice thick consistency. This sauce can be refrigerated for a few days in an airtight container.
