Bhindi Gosht

Bhindi gosht is a traditional main dish recipe in Pakistani cuisine and Indian Muslim cuisine. In Pakistan every vegetable can be added with either muttton or beef. There are many variations of this recipe with different ingredients such as Aloo gosht, Tindaay gosht, Gobi gosht, Palaak gosht, and many more. It is a thick garvy recipe, but gravy’s thickness could be adjusted to your own taste. Bhindi Gosht is an easy to make, spicy and delicious recipe.

Ingredients
     1 kg mutton (cut into small pieces)
     1/2 kg Bhindi (Lady finger)
     3 medium size onions
     2 cup fresh yogurt
     1 tbsp red chili powder
     1 tbsp coriander powder
     1 tsp turmeric powder
     4 cloves
     2 cardamon
     8 black pepper
     1/2 tsp cumin seeds
     1 tsp ginger paste
     1 tsp garlic paste
     Bunch of fresh mint leaves
     4 chopped green chilies
     1 tbsp lemon juice
     1 tsp gram masala powder
     Salt to taste
     1 cup Oil

Method
Heat oil in a pot, Add cumin seeds and ginger paste, garlic paste and saute for 2-3 minutes on a very low flame. Add mutton and fry for 5 minutes in a medium heat.

Onions cut into small pieces and grind in grinder. Now add  onion into mutton .

Add fresh yogurt, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, cloves,  black pepper, cardamon, and 1 glass of water. Cover and cook  till the meat tenderizes.

When meet is almost done, Add Bhindi and cook till the Bhindi are done and required gravy is left cook. through out on low heat.

Delicious Bhindi Gosht is ready to serve. Now pour in a bowl and garnish by gram masala powder, fresh mint leaves, and add lemon juice. Serve hot with chapati or naan.
