Ras Malai is a very popular dessert in South Asia particularly in India and Pakistan. It is usually served at special occasions. Ras Malai is a milk based dessert. It is not an easy to prepare dessert, specially if you do not have an authentic recipe. But the Ras malai recipe that I am going to share with you is very simple and easy to make. You can make Ras Malai for parties and formal dinner along with your main dish and your guests will surely enjoy this delicious treat.
Ingredients
1 cup powder milk
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp condensed milk
2 pinches baking soda
1 egg
Ingredients for syrup
2 kg fresh milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp green cardamon seeds powder
For Garnishing
1 tsp chopped pistachio
Method
Boil fresh milk with sugar and cook on lower flame till milk remains 1 kg . Add green cardamon powder.
In a bowl mix well soda, milk powder, condensed milk, and add oil and mix together well.
Beat egg fork and add this knead a soft medium dough.
Quickly make tiny balls, slightly press and give oval shape.
Boil milk and add all balls one by one then height the blaze and lower blaze then again high blaze and lower, do the same for 7-8 times till balls swell up.
Remove from stove after it gets cool keep in refrigerator. Garnish by chopped pistachios. Delicious Ras Malai Is ready to eat. Serve chilled.
