Ingredients
3 ½ cups flour
2 1/4 tsp dry yeast
1/2 tsp brown sugar
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
Method
In a bowl dissolve the yeast and brown sugar in warm water, and leave it for 10 minutes.
Stir the salt and oil into the yeast solution and add the flour. Knead the dough on a clean, well-floured surface, until it becomes smooth. Place it into a well-oiled bowl and cover with a cloth. Leave in a warm place for an hour. The dough will rise to twice it size. Punch down the dough and form a tight ball. Allow the dough to sit for a minute before rolling it out.
Preheat oven to 200 C. Lightly oil a pizza pan and spread the dough on it and leave it to rise for 15 or 20 minutes before adding the topping and baking it. Make the pizza according to the desired recipe.
